The Gait Master is a hands-free supportive walker that provides secure mobility and independence. The Gait Master is a weight-relieving gait trainer, which gives dynamic support throughout the rise and fall of the pelvis during ambulation. As the child steps forward, the active spring system allows the pelvis to drop down into the "heel strike" and "toe off" portion of gait, and then assists with elevation to allow for proper "swing-through".

Research has shown that the type of self-initiated exploration and interaction of one's environment made more possible with equipment like the Walkabout, is an important component in social and cognitive development.
